Welcome to the Firearms Page

This page will first give you a broad overview of zombie guns. The Pros and Cons of each type play a crucial role in how effective the weapon will be. Before you check out the variants of these weapons, read the general overview of the types.

Shotgun: Highly effective close combat weapon, that is very reliable and easy to use/maintain. They come in a variety of calibers from .410 to 12 gauge that are easy to purchase. The ammunition commonly used is referred to as shells. The plastic shells, most of the time, come packed with shot (lead pellets) or slugs (single lead projectile). The three most popular operating mechanisms are; Break Action, Pump Action and Semi Automatic.

Rifle: Most commonly used weapon in the military and by hunters. Capable of hitting human sized targets hundreds of meters away. The projectile fired is usually very powerful and range from .17 to .50 inches diameter. The bullet size varies more than any other type of weapon so stick with a military variant that has been mass produced. The three most popular civilian operating mechanisms are; Semi Automatic, Bolt Action and Lever Action.

Handgun: These are almost as common as rifles. The main purchasers of handguns are law enforcement and civilians. The ammunition is less varied than rifles, but still ranges from .17 to .50 inches diameter. Used in close quarters combat (under 50m) because of their short barrel that gives them their maneuverability and ability to be holstered. Recommended as a secondary firearm due to the lack of range, power and the amount of skill required to hit the head of a moving zombie while under stress. The two most popular types of handguns are Revolvers and Pistols.
