Zombie Bombs
This is our first article in dealing with explosives. This article will be followed up next week with a more in depth look at charges designed to kill zombies. Right off, I will say explosives are not great for zombie survival. Remember... try this at home and you will probably die as an idiot or go to federal ass banging prison.

Zombie Information
The lack of intelligence is the greatest weakness of zombies. They are essentially programed machines designed to eat. This is what makes a zombie attack so terrifying, they'll stop at nothing to eat you. Some have come to believe that they do have a small amount of learning ability. KSG
Kel-Tec has begun to market their new and first shotgun, the KSG. The KSG will not be for sale until late 2011. The MSRP is expected to be a little high for a shotgun. Even if the KSG Shotgun is expensive, the advertised features make it an ideal shotgun for zombie survival.

ZCD 1.1 is available in the app store!
Zombie Informer's Zombie Castle Defense is available in the Apple App Store. We are now on version 1.1 of zombie slaying action.
We've taken more of a shooter approach for our first game. However, we will be following up with more games that will use strategies and equipment we teach here. Those will also be available in HTML5 on zombie informer.
Also, we are looking for some honest feedback. If you download the game and leave honest feedback in the App Store, we will send you a shirt. NEW Show Reviews Up! 12/1/2011
Thanks again to Matt Molgaard, our zombie survival related media writer! Episode 3 and Episode 4 of the Walking Dead are now up. More of these will be coming soon! One more for good measure!!
Also we have taken down our little pop up to support those who aim to prevent censorship on the internet. The campaign has been very successful. It is a very real possibility that sites like ours would be blocked. In order to protect us all and provide zombie survival training, we must not be censored. Besides all of that, do we really not have anything more important to do besides censoring the internet?
Radioactive Zombies?
There has been a lot of people wondering about the possibility of radioactive zombies. However, we want to also look at the radioactive area you could possibly be living in after the zombie outbreaks. Will this radiation kill the zombies? Will the radioactive zombies kill me? How do you protect yourself against these zombies and the radiation?

Basic Protection
In regards to zombie survival you must prioritize your dangers. The biggest one is being bitten by an undead attacker or becoming infected through other methods. Being infected by not preparing for a situation is a lot more common than a group of zombies devouring you.. As we stated our "Anatomy of a Bite" article, kevlar gloves/forearm protectors with snake bite proof boots will go a long way in preventing this.

Anatomy of a Bite
The greatest threat in a zombie survival situation is being bitten. Most likely it will not be the actual bite injury that kills you, but the infection that follows. This bite must be avoided at all cost by using quickness, maneuverability and protection. If you fail at this, the infected must be destroyed.
The human jaw is extremely efficient and powerful even when compared to the animals. Our bite force is 150 - 180psi depending on factors. We have the ability to slice through skin, tear flesh from bone, and bite off the nose/ears. This can happen even through light clothing.

Who Are We? Why Are We Different?
It is no surprise that there are a multitude of zombie related sites. Many of these sites also offer advice on tactics and weapon choices. So the question must be asked, why do we keep going with Zombie Informer? We strongly believe that there is a severe lacking of credibility in zombie tactics offered digitally and in print. Many of these sites are ran by people who are solely 'fans' of the zombie genre. This does not make you a subject expert and certainly does not qualify you to be giving tactical advice. The biggest culprit (AKA "The armpit of the internet") are the message boards.
With this being said, we are huge zombie fans. However, we are much more than that. Going into our second year after a lot of success, I'd like to introduce myself and our cohesive team for the first time.
My name is Josh and I have been doing all of the writing other than the reviews section. I am our subject expert in weapons and tactics. I believe I am suitable for this job based on my previous profession and experiences. I served in the United States Marine Corps as an 0351 Infantry Assaultman. I received extensive training in weapons and tactics. More importantly, I have earned my combat action ribbon in Ramadi, Iraq during the height of violence in the city. During my last year I helped develop the curriculum in which all Infantry Assaultmen in the division would be training with.
